Daniel Hilton appears for the first time on any census or paperwork as a signer on the 1817 Emigration Roll on the same page as Major. John Walker.  Daniel was born in 1788 and all our family said Cherokee NC.  His father was Peter Hilton. Peter signed up for Revolutionary War in Surry County, North Carolina lived in Burke County, North Carolina, McMinn County, Tennessee  and finally moved to Carroll County, Georgia.  Daniel's mother was Jennie
and that is all we know.  Daniel married Martha Walker and lived in Mouse Creek Tn near the Indian Agency prior to moving west.

Our family claimed on our Cherokee Applications in 1896 and 1906 that she was the daughter of William and Katie Walker.  We found Daniel Hilton on three other pieces of paper connected to the Early Emigration of Cherokees from Tennessee to Arkansas.  Our family carries a Y chromosome Native American and have been in the Southern US for over 5,000 years.

Daniel appears with Martha in Blount County, Tennessee on the 1850 census.  Other than records with the Cherokees we have no other records of him until this time.  Two sons have NA names, Tusore and Tansis on the census of 1850.  Daniel moved to Roane County, Tennessee and died around 100 yrs old in Cumberland County, Tennessee. He is buried in Rockwood, Tennessee in the central cemetery.  Daniel claimed to have been married before to a Native American woman and had several kids by her.  This family has not been found.   Our family history says Daniel had problems with alcohol and excessive anger.  Later years he became a Baptist Minister.  Our focus is on finding the rest of Daniel's children, Martha Walkers family and the identity of Jennie his mother.  Any Help appreciated.
